San Diego’s best kept secret is a spontaneous combustion of soul, punk, and psychedelia. A live act that puts the state of rock n’ roll to the test and then burns the answer sheet. The three-piece known as The Schizophonics is the modern day answer to MC5, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, and Iggy Pop who over several years have dismantled San Diegan stages in an epic resurgence of a music scene long overdue for a band of this caliber.

Pat and Lety Beers share a unique musical chemistry proven by Pat’s wailing one handed backflip guitar solos balanced by Lety’s surgically precise drum spatter. Fuzz punch bass-lines stomp heavy dance patterns amid the duo’s symmetry and the result is a Detroit acid trip in a Southern Californian basement.
